THE GAME IS BIGGER THAN FOOTBALL AND THE MEMORIES LIVE ON FAR BEYOND THE FOOTBALL FIELD!

Today, the Football Federation of Belize proudly hosted the Concacaf Bigger Game Festival, bringing together 120 children from nine schools across Belize City, Belmopan and Cayo for a day of football, learning and fun. The festival officially kicked off with remarks from FFB President Sergio Chuc. Also present were FFB General Secretary Ian Jones, representatives of Concacaf and the Ministry of Education, as well as members of the Belize Senior Men’s National Team.The national team players took time to interact and play football with the children, helping to officially kick off the festival and creating an exciting and memorable experience for the young participants.Concacaf’s Bigger Game initiative uses football as a tool for education and social development. Beyond building football skills, the programme promotes teamwork, respect, confidence, resilience, discipline, inclusion and safe participation, helping children grow both on and off the field. Today's event marked the culmination of 10 weeks sessions in which teachers conducted football sessions with 20-25 kids in their respective schools. Today’s activities gave the children an opportunity to play, build friendships and put these important values into practice in a positive and supportive environment.The FFB thanks Concacaf, the Ministry of Education, the participating schools, teachers, coaches, volunteers and the Belize Senior Men’s National Team for helping to make the festival a success.Together, we are expanding access to football and using the beautiful game to help shape confident, responsible and community-minded young people.
