Congratulations, Horace Avila! 🇧🇿

The Football Federation of Belize proudly congratulates Horace Avila on signing with Tepatitlán FC in Mexico’s Liga de Expansión.Horace’s achievement marks another important step in a journey that has been shaped by commitment, perseverance, and continued development through the FFB pathway.His national team journey began with a call-up to the Belize U-18 National Team In 2018 where he represented Belize during World Cup qualifying competition in Bradenton, Florida.Horace also benefited from the FFB Student-Athlete Program where he got a full scholarship at Bethel University and aiding the College to win their first ever Mid-South Tournament Championship. His growth both on the field and academically since he earned various academic awards. This did not stop him from remaining connected to the national football development system.More recently, Horace was part of the Belize Senior Men’s National Team delegation involved in the Belize–Mexico Project. Through this initiative, Belizean players were provided with valuable international exposure and opportunities to be assessed within the Mexican football environment.His signing with Tepatitlán FC is a direct result of that project and reflects the importance of creating meaningful pathways that connect Belizean talent with professional opportunities abroad.The FFB celebrates Horace’s progress and wishes him every success as he begins this new chapter of his career.Congratulations, Horace.
