Belize wins their first game of CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship 2017

The 2017 CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship kicked off yesterday February 20th, 2017 in Nassau, Bahamas at the Malcolm Park Beach Soccer Facility.

The tournament serves as the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup qualifier for teams from North, Central America and the Caribbean.

The top two teams from this tournament will then qualify for the 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.

Belize played their first game of the tournament against Jamaica and was victorious. Marlon Meza started off the score board in the 3rd minute of the game and by the 9 minute Belize was leading by 4 goals to nil. However, Jamaica bounced back an took over the lead by the 32nd minute 5 goals to 4. Belize was not going to give up so easily though, Raymond Ramos at the 32nd minute sent the game into penalty shootout were Belize prevailed 2-0.
